The Sun Inn Restaurant & Pub Dummer Basingstoke

Excellent service, excellent food with so much choice on the menu all catering to our party of 13 including a child. All meals were to an excellent quality and although we were a very large table, all choosing different meals they all arrived at the same time and within an expected timeframe for good, quality food. The service throughout could not be faulted. If we weren’t on holiday this would become a firm favourite to our varying tastes and high expectations.

Popped in for a quick drink here with my wife, our daughter, her partner and two children. The guy behind the bar was friendly, cleared glasses we used, a wide varied drinks choice. The garden has a wooden climbing frame and slide. What other pubs offer this now for children? We say in the lovely sunny garden overlooking the fields. Had a run around with the kids in the secure garden.

Great motorway stop off! 2mins from J7 of M3. Perfect from London if you’re based in Southampton/Pompey/Bournemouth area. Fresh food, reasonable prices, tasty! Kids play park that’s basic but passes the time whilst you wait. Lovely sunset in Hampshire countryside pub garden.

Good varied menu. We both chose the lamb dish and it was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Puddings were excellent. Will definitely return.

Visited today for lunch and we all had a fabulous meal. Pub has a gorgeous wood burner which made the place feel really cosy and the food we all had was delicious. Also the service was fantastic and attentive.. thank you for such a wonderful lunch.
